8 TO GREAT - COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

1. By entering this competition, you accept and agree to the following terms and conditions which will govern the competition. Furthermore, you verify that you are unaware of any reason legally prohibiting you from entering this competition and, if the competition requires the submission of photographs, artwork, or images of people, or of anything else that requires consent or copyright, that you have the necessary consent and authority to do so, if required. Any entrant who contravenes these rules may be disqualified from the competition. The rules can only be modified by the Promoters in a written revision posted on the competition Facebook page or any other official competition communication methods.

2. This is a digitally run competition. Entries will only be accepted if one of the packages are purchased on www.mygolean.co.za.

3. The Promoters of this competition are Asteria pharmaceuticals, via its brand MyGoLean. 

4. You may only enter this competition if you are a citizen and permanent resident of South Africa, 18 years of age or over. The winner will be required to present a valid South African ID document in order to accept the prize. It is the winner’s responsibility to collect the prize from Asteria Pharmaceuticals. 

5. The competition will run as per the published dates. Entries later than 5 days after the starting date of each challenge or incomplete entries will not be accepted. No responsibility will be accepted for entries lost, delayed, or damaged in transmission. Entries reflected on the Promoter’s records will be treated as the only validation source and will be the only evidence of successful entries. 

6. To enter the competition: Purchase one of the 8 to great packages as advertised on www.mygolean.co.za. Only the entrant will be permitted to participate in the competition, no entry can be transferred. 

7. There will be one winner per challenge whom will receive a cash prize of R10 000. In order for the full value of the prize money to be realized, there will need to be 28 participants in the competition. Should the quota not be attained, the prize money will be apportioned accordingly, as per the number of participants. 

8. The prize is neither negotiable nor transferable and may not be exchanged for any other instrument. Only the winner may claim the prize, in the form of an eft to a South African registered Bank Account. The prize shall be paid within 30 days of the winner being announced. 

9. The prize may be subject to additional terms and conditions not mentioned hereunder, but in accordance with relevant South African legislation. The Promoters reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the original prize becomes unavailable for any unforeseen reason. 

10. The selection of the 10 finalists will take place within 5 days after the completion of each challenge. MyGoLean will choose 10 finalists whom have excelled as per the judging criteria published, after which a poll will be published to Facebook to select the people’s choice which will run for 7 days. The winner will be announced on the 8th day after the poll.

11. The Promoters will try to contact the winner for seven days following the draw. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond to messages within that period of time, or chooses to decline the prize, then the prize will be forfeited, and another winner will be selected as soon as possible. 

12. By entering this competition, the entrant consents that the Promoter may use names and images (before and after) taken of the participant for publicity purposes, without any further remuneration being payable to the participant. All promotional material will become the sole property of the Promoter. The entrant confirms their intention to comply with all the requirements as set out in the rules of the competition.

13. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence to the contrary will be entertained.

14. You may not enter the competition if you are involved as a participant or organizer/ associate of another competition running concurrently with the abovementioned. 

15. Participants in this competition hereby indemnify, release and hold harmless the Promoters and their successors, employees, officers, suppliers, contractors, agents, consultants, directors and shareholders from and against any losses, claims, proceedings, actions, damages, liability for harm, injury or death, demands, expenses or any costs howsoever arising out of their participation in this competition or their use of the prize, and/or any person with whom they share that prize. 

16. The laws of the Republic of South Africa govern this competition. 

17. Participants understand and agree that in order to offer the competition, the Promoter must collect and use personal information about participants. 

18. The Promoters reserve the right to cancel, modify or amend the competition at any time if deemed necessary in their own opinion or if circumstances arise outside of their control.

Judging Criteria:

1. Transformation points – 90 points

1.1 Starting Fat % minus Fat % on completion divided by Fat % starting date (e.g Starting fat %: 30 fat % in Completion 25%: 5/30 x 100%= 16,66% improvement in body fat % ) as well as publication of the entrants before and after photo on the 8 to great closed community group: 70 points

1.2 Meal prep dedication (Photographic proof to be sent daily on the 8 to great closed community group) - 8 points

1.3 Supplementation (Photographic evidence be sent daily on the 8 to great closed community group) - 8 points

1.4 Short story on your 8 to great journey to be submitted by the last day of the 8 to great challenge that you are partaking in (email to: sh@asteriasa.co.za) - 6 points

1.5 Bonus point for the entrant with the most encouraging and positive influence on the group members. 5 points

2. People’s Choice - 10 points

2.1 MyGoLean will choose 10 finalists whom have excelled as per above criteria after which a poll will be published to Facebook for 7 days. The winner will be announced on the 8th day after the poll on various platforms.
